Here is a thing that is true and uncomfortable: you will never feel ready. Not for the things that actually matter.
You will not feel ready to start the business, to have the conversation, to make the change, to take the leap. Not because you are unprepared โ you may be very prepared โ but because readiness, in the way we imagine it, doesn't exist. It is a feeling we are waiting for that was never going to arrive.
The people who start things do not feel ready when they start. They feel afraid, uncertain, under-qualified, and aware of everything that could go wrong. They start anyway. Not because they conquered the fear, but because they decided that waiting for it to go away was not an option they were willing to take.
Starting before you're ready is not recklessness. It is the recognition that readiness is not a prerequisite โ it is a product. You become ready by doing the thing, not before. The doing is what produces the capability, the confidence, the knowledge of how to handle what comes up.
What are you waiting to feel ready for? What has been sitting in the waiting-until-ready category for six months, a year, five years? The readiness is not coming. The window is open right now. That's all you're ever going to get.
